Hello fellow Philadelphians! You already know that we think Philadelphia is awesome and that we love all of the businesses, charities and organizations in this city. Well, we just discovered another reason to love! We had the amazing opportunity to speak with the inspiring staff at Mama’s Wellness Joint in Center City and we must say, we were blown away by this company and everyone involved with it!
Mama’s Wellness Joint was created in 2012 by Paige Chapman. Chapman was inspired by the need for Philadelphia women and families to have a safe and welcoming space to learn more about how to better care for themselves and their children. Chapman’s passion is to serve the Philadelphia community to the greatest capacity possible. She spent many years as a yoga instructor and Doula, building up a wide range of holistic skills and knowledge. Mama’s was created in order for her to bring her particular skill set to as many individuals as possible. Mama’s Wellness Joint offers wellness workshops, massage, reiki, and yoga classes with a special focus on pregnant women, mothers, children and families.
Mama’s has a strong sense of community. Staff and clients treat each other like family and build strong, lasting relationships. Staff members put a lot of passion into their work and take ownership of the company’s success and service. The organization as a whole is deeply embedded in Philly’s small business culture, working with other businesses to achieve mutual success. They often offer free classes and donate gift certificates to local charities, schools, and like-minded businesses in order to assist fundraising efforts.
Mama’s Wellness Joint clearly has a bright future ahead of them. In the near future, keep an eye out for an event space to pop up where you can host yoga themed birthday parties and community events. They are looking forward to offering expert, holistic health consultations and expanding upon their classes, workshops, products and wellness treatments. They are a rapidly growing organization and it is clear that they are going to continue to grow offer their services on a greater scale.
