A trip to the Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing is always a treat, but if you live in Center City and happen to have the weekend free, the 2012 Roots Picnic hip-hop festival is the place to be! Coming up on Saturday, June 2nd and Sunday, June 3rd, this event is sponsored by Philly’s own band, The Roots, and will feature performances by music legends De La Soul, Kid Cudi and Rakim, along with well known locals like Chill Moody and OCD.
