Spring is here and summer is close behind, bringing with it beautiful weather and the chance to spend more time outdoors. If you are looking for a relaxing way to increase your fitness level now, consider visiting Practice Yoga Studio. Located at 804 South 4th Street, near your Philadelphia home, you can get to know the studio at their 10th year Anniversary Party, open to the community, on Sunday, May 20th at 5 p.m., where a vegetarian potluck will be enjoyed. All classes held that day will raise funds to benefit the organization Living Beyond Breast Cancer making it the perfect time to get started with a new class. If you can’t make it on that day, consider stopping by another time to take advantage of their New Student Special (available only to those who live in Philadelphia).
Yoga enthusiasts will enjoy the variety of classes offered for all, graduating from beginner and restorative offerings to more intense levels, utilizing primarily Iyengar technique, although bits of Kripalu, Vinyasa, Anusara yoga may be incorporated, depending on the instructor. Each class is ninety minutes in length and all supplies and props are available for use at the studio. The Thursday evening beginning class is donation based and begins at 7:30 if you would like to try yoga without making any commitment. To learn more about the Practice Yoga Studio, please click here.
